Thank heavens for Aimee Kestenberg because I was considering giving up hope on ever finding fashionable travel luggage. While desperately scouring the internet for something that resembled a travel item that had been designed by someone who had at least heard of Givenchy, I drooped depressingly and my fashion brain lamented in eye-rolling frustration a-la-Rupaul.
Where to find the perfect stylish travel luggage?
Having scoured mainstream designer brands with even my beloved Loewe failing me, I battled belligerently on with my mission. My lip curled at the incessant logomania, lamented over the too-masculine beauty of Aspinal and found a handful of vintage steamer trunk options that seemed to be my last resort.
Then suddenly there it was, sandwiched between a limply blue almost-pretty Steve Madden carry on and some other bag shaped catastrophe.
An Aimee Kestenberg carry on bag in python.
The most fabulous travel luggage I’ve ever seen.
I knew immediately- just as I always know when I see the real deal- that this was a brand to note, own and shout out about. As per usual, I fanatically researched all the luggage they had on Amazon as well as on their website, in all Google image searches, on youtube and the QVC website. Then contacted the company directly to enquire after the rolling duffel bag which sold out on QVC lightning fast and I’ve yet to get my hands on.
Aimee Kestenberg has styles for every woman, tween, hot mama and sexy retiree travelling today.
The speedy cheerful customer service reply on the delightful duffel was that items not on the website (or elsewhere) are out of stock and “it’s hard to tell when the wheeled duffel will return because Aimee and the design team are always looking for fun, fresh and new ideas.”
Hopefully that includes different variations of the duffel bag?
They’ve said they’ll relay my interest, so remember to thank me if we manage to get ourselves duffels because the Aimee Kestenberg rolling duffel is a perfect daytime, creative job, city life, weekend getaway, all purpose kind of bag. Ideal for pairing with carry on luggage or using as a sports bag. The list goes on. Not that there’s a lack of options in soft and hard cover travel cases, with fabulous pattern names to choose from like ‘midnight python’, ‘milan python’, ‘water python’ and ‘python quilt’ (not an actual quilt made from python).
To have and to hold, to travel and enjoy life with…
I have fallen so head over heels with this brand that I’m going to flat out place an Amazon ad link right here (below) for you guys to click on to view her delicious luggage and other items that YES – ship internationally. I’m sure you’ve noticed the other AK ads I’ve thrown across the site. #sorrynotsorry #obsessed
Aimee Kestenberg luggage is the answer to my hideous travel bag prayers.
No longer will my poor Jimmy Choo leopard print Blare tote (which I just adore) have to rest its exquisite bottom on some mangy blob of a suitcase.
My birthday is coming up and presents include a blue diamond ring set from Erica Courtney, an updated wedding ring that looks like a small ice cube and an entire set of Aimee Kestenberg luggage.
Heck, I don’t even have anywhere I want to travel right now, but I know my next airport experience is going to be an absolute dream when I see these beauties rolling down the carousel to greet me. I’m going to have to try very hard not to squeal with delight.
